Background

Dr. Nader Azad joined Ontario Tech University from Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he was an Assistant Professor of Management Science in the Sobey School of Business. He received his undergraduate, master's and PhD degrees in Industrial Engineering. Following this, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Operations Management in the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.

His research has been published in top-tier refereed journals such as Transportation Science, Transportation Research Part B: Methodological, Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review and Annals of Operations Research” to “His research has been published in top-tier refereed journals such as Transportation Science, Omega, European Journal of Operations Research, Transportation Research Part B and E

He currently holds a Discovery Grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) to develop models and solution techniques for the disruption risks in both centralized and decentralized supply networks.
