Our Sisters in Spirit: Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women

The documentary film Our Sisters in Spirit examines the systemic roots of the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and 2-Spirit (MMIWG2S) crisis in Canada. Released before the final report of the National Inquiry into MMIWG2S, the film offers a critical lens on whether a national public inquiry is the best approach or if other solutions might be more effective. Today, this documentary serves as a thought-provoking reflection on the inquiries' findings and the ongoing need for meaningful action, making it a vital resource for understanding the work still required to address this national tragedy.
