Ontario Tech Accounting Association
The Ontario Tech Accounting Association (OTAA) is a student-run organization which strives to provide Ontario Tech students many opportunities to become successful! As an association under the Business and IT Society (BITSoc) we are dedicated to serving our accounting students and assist them into entering the accounting profession. As we host professional building workshops, networking sessions, and an annual case competition; we ensure that our members obtain the most benefit from their university experience.

How to get involved
By joining the Ontario Tech Accounting Association you will be joining a tight-knit community of students and faculty members. You will gain access to exclusive networking events, updates about internships, full-time employment, and external opportunities, all of which help to develop your interpersonal skills. Joining the OTAA also looks great on your involvement record!

Meet the team

Hannah Oegema
President
Hannah is in her third year of the Commerce program, with a major in accounting and a minor is International Business. Her interests include traveling, hiking, and working on inclusivity initiatives around campus.

Aleesha Nirula
Co-Chair, Connect Conference
Aleesha is in her fourth year and is majoring in accounting and minoring in OBHR. She enjoys reading, jigsaw puzzles, colouring, and writing poetry.

Nashina Rashid
Co-Chair, Connect Conference
Nashina is in her fourth year of the Commerce program, with a major in Accounting. She enjoys reading, hiking, and spending her time outdoors.

Justin Belzner
VP of Operations
Justin is in his fourth year of the commerce program completing a double major in accounting and finance. His interest includes playing guitar, reading, cooking, and martial arts.

Dawson Hinton
VP of Finance
Dawson is in his fourth year of the Commerce Program completing a major in Accounting and a minor in Finance. His interest include skydiving, hockey, golf and spending time outdoors

Amanda Carter
VP of Communications
Amanda is in her third year of the Commerce Program with a major in Accounting and a minor in Human Resources. She loves to read, hang out with her friends, and playing piano.

Aditya Patel
VP of Marketing & IT
Aditya is in his third year of the Commerce Program with major in Accounting and Finance. He is a part-time photographer and loves adventure and sports.

Ilsa Sajid
VP of Events
Ilsa is in her second year of the Commerce program with a major in Accounting. She throughly enjoys painting, reading and writing in her free time.
