Technical Art for Games Lab (TAG Lab)
The Technical Art for Games Lab (TAG Lab) is a dedicated teaching and creative production space for students in the Game Development and Interactive Media (GDIM) program. Featuring high-performance PCs, tablets, and specialized game development software, the lab supports hands-on learning in technical art, 3D modelling, animation, digital drawing, and retro game development.
The lab is used for tutorials, lab sessions, small lectures, demonstrations, and independent student work. It provides students with access to professional tools and workflows used to create game-ready assets, animations, shaders, materials, visual effects, and interactive content. Between scheduled classes, the space also serves as an open lab where students can continue developing course projects, portfolio pieces, and collaborative game work.
